Only members in good standing can register items for this quilt show. Only quilts never before exhibited at the Hamilton Quilt Show are eligible. Please Ensure All Quilts ARE “Scent & Odour” FREE!!
Registration forms will be received starting January 10, 2024. Deadline for registration forms is April 10, 2024. Early registration is advised. Forms may be handed into Diana Scholtens or Laura Brandt at Guild General Meetings, emailed to quiltregistration@hamiltonquiltguild.ca, or mailed to the post office box (1300 Garth St, P.O. Box 79018, Hamilton, ON, L9C 7N6). Items do not have to be finished to register, but you must be sure of completed size. All items must be complete to be included in the show.
Note: Challenge items are registered separately. See Diana Scholtens (President) or Lorna Pennie (Past President) for details. Forms are on the website and will be sent out in email blasts.
ONLY one (1) item should be registered on each registration form. Include a colour picture with each form. On the registration form indicate the quilt’s position in your total number of quilts (e.g. item 1 of 6, 2 of 6, 3 of 6 etc). Articles will not be accepted without pre-registration. All items will be shown based on space available and you will be notified if any of your items CANNOT be displayed.
If a registered item is for sale, please indicate price on the registration form. SALES will be handled at the BOUTIQUE. The Hamilton Quilters Guild receives 10% of the sales price. SOLD QUILTS WILL NOT BE REMOVED UNTIL THE SHOW IS OVER ON JUNE 1, 2024.
All items must have an attached label showing your name and the quilt’s name for identification purposes. All quilts require a sleeve for hanging. The sleeve must have a 5” opening.
Your item(s) must be delivered, in the plastic bag that you will be given, to Merritt Hall on registration day, Thursday May 30, 2024 between 9:30 – 11:30 am. You will be given a receipt for your item(s). PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THIS RECEIPT! THIS WILL BE REQUIRED TO RETRIEVE YOUR ITEMS.
Your item(s) including Challenge items must be picked up on Saturday June 1st between 5 pm – 6:00 pm. The RECEIPT for each item MUST BE PRESENTED for pick up. If you can’t make it then, please make arrangements with a fellow guild member to pick up with receipt. There will be a $5.00 fine per day, per item, for items not picked up at this time. Please contact Laura Brandt or Diana Scholtens with any questions or concerns.
HQG Policies:
- The Hamilton Quilters’ Guild and the Ancaster Fairgrounds assume no liability for the quilts and cannot be held responsible in an unlikely event that a quilt is damaged or lost. Check with your insurance company for any information available.
- Submission of a quilt for the Quilts in Bloom exhibition constitutes permission for photographs to be taken for publicity or other reasons.
